Joseph L. Daw, Jr., MD, DDS, FACS is a board certified plastic surgeon who practices the full scope of aesthetic surgery of the face and body. The surgical procedures include facelift, rhinoplasty, eyelid rejuvenation, breast augmentation/lift, tummy tuck, and liposuction, among others. He also performs minimally invasive aesthetic procedures including Botox® injections, injection of dermal fillers (Radiesse®, Restylane), and various laser treatments.

Dr. Daw received his medical degree in 1991 from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and his dental degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry in Maywood, IL in 1986. He completed residency training in Plastic Surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL in 1997 and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL in 1989.
Dr. Daw has been practicing plastic surgery since 1998. He began his practice at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. In 2000, he joined the faculty at the University of Illinois at Chicago, serving as Chief of Craniofacial Surgery and as Assistant Professor of (Plastic) Surgery. In July 2005, Dr. Daw joined Dupage Medical Group. Dr. Daw currently maintains the position of Assistant Professor of Clinical surgery at the Feinberg School of medicine, Northwestern University. Dr. Daw has a long history of providing care for children with congenital deformities at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Chicago. He has been recognized as one of America’s Top Doctors by Castle Connolly and the Consumer Research Council.
Dr. Daw is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons. He serves on the Craniomaxillofacial Subcommittee in the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation, which is responsible for preparing questions for the Plastic Surgery In-Service Examination, a national plastic surgery residency test. Dr. Daw is currently the President of the Midwestern Association of Plastic Surgeons. He performs surgery at the Surgical Center of DuPage Medical Group, Hinsdale Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, Edward Hospital, Central DuPage Hospital, and Christ Medical Center.
Dr. Daw is medical director for the cranial facial clinic at Hope Children’s Hospital, were he treats children with cleft lip and palate, ear deformities and various craniofacial anomalies. Dr. Daw is also on faculty for the Plastic Surgery Board Review Course, sponsored by the Osler Institute. This is Dr. Daw’s fifth year participating as an invited lecturer to plastic surgeons preparing to become board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Daw strives to be attentive to each and every patient’s concerns and provide a very thorough and comprehensive evaluation. This thereby allows him to formulate highly individualized treatment recommendations. Combined with his artistic abilities, patients are then better able to attain their aesthetic desires, whether it is removal of unwanted fat deposits or elimination of a prominent nasal bridge. Dr. Daw also feels that it is extremely important to build a strong personal relationship with his patients and remain readily accessible for patients.
